🥬🥓 Southern Fried Cabbage with
Bacon Tender cabbage caramelized
until golden, tossed with crispy bacon,
onions, and plenty of savory
seasoning. A simple Southern
comfort-food favorite! 😍🛒
Ingredients*
1 large head green cabbage, chopped
* 6–8 slices bacon, chopped* 1
medium onion, diced* 3 cloves garlic,
minced* 2 tbsp butter* 1 tsp smoked
paprika* ½ tsp onion powder* ½ tsp
garlic powder* ½ tsp black pepper* ½
tsp salt, or to taste* ¼ tsp red pepper
flakes, optional* 1 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce, optional👩🍳
Instructions
1. Cook the bacon: Heat a large
skillet over medium heat. Add the
chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
Remove the bacon and leave about 2
tbsp of bacon grease in the skillet.
2. Sauté the onion: Add the onion
and cook for 3–4 minutes until
softened. Add the garlic and cook for
another 30 seconds.3. Add the
cabbage: Add the chopped cabbage
and butter. Toss everything together
and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
4. Season: Add smoked paprika,
onion powder, garlic powder, black
pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.
Stir well.
5. Caramelize: Continue cooking for
another 8–12 minutes, stirring
occasionally, until the cabbage is
tender with beautifully browned,
caramelized edges.
6. Finish: Stir in the Worcestershire
sauce and crispy bacon. Cook for
another 1–2 minutes.
7. Serve: Serve hot as a side dish
with fried chicken, cornbread,
mashed potatoes, or your favorite

cabbage sit undisturbed for a minute
or two between stirs. That’s how you
