Ingredients
For the chicken:
500 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
½ cup cornstarch
1 egg
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1–2 tbsp oil
Bang Bang Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp sriracha or hot sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp lime juice
For the bowls:
3 cups cooked white or jasmine rice
1 cucumber, sliced
1 carrot, shredded
½ avocado, sliced
Green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds
👩🍳 Instructions
Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Dip each piece in beaten egg, then coat well with cornstarch.
Cook: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the sauce: Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey and lime juice until smooth.
Coat the chicken: Toss the crispy chicken with the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
Build the bowls: Add warm rice to each bowl, then arrange cucumber, carrot and avocado around the rice.
Finish: Add the Bang Bang chicken on top. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
🔥 Tip: For extra crispy chicken, cook it in an air fryer at 200°C / 400°F for about 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through.
