Ingredients
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples, being careful not to overmix.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
